FREE Resources for Teachers and Students

Creative Commons is a valuable resource. Creators of music, art, or other media make their work available for use by the public. Teachers/students may need to give credit to the author and provide a direct link to the source when they use it.

Web Quests are a way of integrating project based learning with technology. You can search for web quests created by others. (Need to carefully evaluate the content though because some are quality while others are not.)

Weebly - Students (and teachers) can make websites easily. Free website creator.
Voicethread - Free social media tool. Can upload video or pictures and students can comment on them. Can comment using text or voice.
Skype in the Classroom - Create a teacher account to connect with other teachers/classrooms around the world. You can create a project or search for a project to join.
iEarn - Collaborate with a world wide audience.
Edutopia - Teacher resource for locating articles, ideas, and inspiration on Project Based Learning practices.
Eduglogster - Students can create posters using multimedia: video, pictures, text, and audio
Yodio - Students can create podcasts for free. Audio can be recorded from any phone! Possible ideas include students making tutorials or commercials.
